Psa 23:1¶
[[A Psalm of David.]] The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

The prior two verses are is King Davids statement. This is what King David says after he is in green pastures and beside still waters:
1. He restoreth my soul
2. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
3. I will fear no evil
4. in the presence of mine enemies

His soul needs restoring, he walks through and around death, He is tempted to be afraid and he is still in the presence of his enemies.

This haiku helps me understand the 23 rd Pslam and life:

Restful green pastures,
I'm lead beside still waters,
These bugs break my peace.

Isaiah 40:28
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, [that] the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? [there is] no searching of his understanding.
Isa 40:29
He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength.

(this is the New International Version of this verse:)
Isa 40:31
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Haiku

At the mornings hope,
My days tasks are so simple,
Stop you weary night.

Exd 20:5

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;

Exd 20:6

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandment.

Haiku:
Children I am poor,
But I leave you great treasure,
My deep love for God.

Mat 13:18 ¶
Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
Mat 13:19
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth [it] not, then cometh the wicked [one], and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Mat 13:20
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
Mat 13:21
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
Mat 13:22
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Mat 13:23
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth [it]; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Haiku:
Some fly on the wind,
some grow when burned, few live
but all seeds are loved

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Haiku;
This rat was snared
Loving, strong hands saved it,
Rat is now a dove.

Psa 57:1
[[To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.]] Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities be overpast.

Safe under Ya's wings

Isa 61:3

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

haiku:

Must be losing weight,
This dark garment does not fit,
Garment of praise does.

You ask, what I seek?
To much, mabey I am lost,
Gods the seeker.

I will trust upon the Lord,
The river shall meet my roots,
In years of drought, the heats ignored,
My fruit will yield new shoots.

Most of the time he was strong,
Most of the time he thought on what he wanted,
So at times his life was dry,
Living in a wilderness of non friends,
He was hopeful he would see pleasant times.

Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory.
Isa 6:5 Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone; because I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

Haiku

when I look on Earth
Gods glory seems so hidden,
what a miracle.
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luke 12:27

Lilies of the field
have more joy and strength than I,
and Solomon too.

For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
From Isaiah 30 verse 15

as confident and quiet
such a useful strength

I wonder how my living will turn out
Our Father sure gives us a joyous end
but selfish ones live curse that God does send
I pray I'll wake like you Lord dispel doubt

And train me in your way your truth and walk
Oh pour the gift tenacity on me
And bless me in The Christs community
So I can be your hands and not all talk

I think I know you only just a bit
My wondrous God you are still to unknown
And magnify your name to help us quit
The worship of false gods with hearts of stone
Oh dwell inside our hearts Gods holy Son
The King and the High priest, your love has won

A haiku

I ask and wonder,
For Gods likeness is fresh fruit,
Am I fermenting?

This is a poem is in a style I made up I call Free Hymm. The first four lines in a hymm style. The next 5 lines are in free style, and this free style part has a one or two word ending.

Because you love me Father God,
I have hope this day,
Because you love me Father God,
no longer can I stray.

No longer am I a loser in the after life.
No longer do I cry bound by chains and anchors.
No longer do I serve a false King.
No longer do I serve a false High Priest
No longer for I put my life in Jesus Anointed.
Because.
